daycare
Jeffrey started going to the Little Wings Daycare near my work place.
Gradual Entry
Aug 18 - 30
Fri. Aug 18 - Took Jeffrey to the daycare. He loved it immediately. Mostly becuase he was playing outside the whole time.
Mon Aug 21 - Took Jefrey outside to play. He had a lot of fun. I told him that I had to go to work. I guess he was too concentrated in playing and didn't really realized that I was going to leave him.
45minutes after, I got a call from the daycare that Jeffrey is upset that I left him. When I got there, he was crying and wanting to go the gate.
Wed Aug 23 - We arrived at Little Wings around 10, I had to go to the office for a conference call. Jeffrey was crying when I left him. I received a call 20 minutes later that he is still upset. When I got back to the daycare, he had stop crying. spent the rest monring there.
Fri Aug 25 - I spent the whole day at the daycare with Jeffrey. He was very happy that I was there the whole day. Couldn't get him to nap,after almost 1hour of convincing, we had to leave.
Mon Aug 28 - Spent most day there. Cried very loud when i left him. Picked Jeffrey napped there. Fell asleep in Minal's shoulder.
Wed Aug 30 -
Friday Sept 1 - First day whole day. very sad when I picked him up. he just woke up from the nap, and was sitting on a bench drinking milk. When he saw me, he just kept saying "mommy come soon, mommy come soon..."
Wed Sept 6, 9- can't remember what happened. but did cry when dropping him off.
Wed Sept 13 - Went to the dentist in the morning. He was surprisingly cooperative. a bit nervous at first, but was very good when he was getting examined. Arrived at the day care around 10:00, just in time for their outdoor play. Cristi held his hands and took him to play. no cry!
Fri Sept 15 - Also did not cry!
Wed Sept 20 - cried a bit when I left him. partically because we were stuck in the traffic for more than an hour, he was getting restless in the car. and patically because I didn't let him take the Thomas train to the daycare.
When I picked him up, he was playing very nicely by himself.
Fri Sept 22 - cried loud when I left him. when I picked him up, i was just in time for their circle time. I saw him walk in to the room with everyone else, sat down just like everyone else. Tina was telling me that he was doing very well. He is repeating a lot, and copying their sign languages.
Wed Sept 27 - woke up early and said that he wants to go to the daycare. Went down stairs to put on shoes. No cry at drop off. When I picked him up,teacher said that he was very happy the whole day.
Fri Sept 29 - did not cry.
